  My husband, six year old daughter, and I visited D and D farms recently and found it to be pleasant enough considering other then the dollar for a bucket of produce to feed the animals it is free to roam about. There are other activities that you would incur a charge to participate in but we were just killing some time. I found the pavilion area to be clean and very well manicured while other areas were lacking in care. I observed some of the watering troughs to have less then clean water and after feeding the animals I would have appreciated a proper cleaning station for our hands. The petting zoo area is a little misleading considering you are not in with the animals but rather you feed them through a fence. I did find they need to remedy their animal waste management issue a little better to eliminate the odor. The majority of the animals seemed in good health but there were a few that seemed to be on their way out yet still in with the general population. The farmers market was not as extensive as I would have hoped but we were only there to kill some time and not to shop. For a better farmers market I would recommend Nelson Family Farms off of Midway Road. However for just a few dollars we were entertained and satisfied with our visit.
